Acer Plans To Launch Ryzen Laptops And More At CES 2021

With other tech giants such as Lenovo showing off their new innovations, Acer now has a new lineup to show off in their recent announcement in the CES 2021 event.

Both the Acer Aspire 5 and 7 will have 15.6-inch FHD displays and will house the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors. 

Aspiring Specs At A Glance

The Aspire 5 offers AMD Radeon RX 640 graphics along with the AMD silicon, RAM that’s supported up to 24GB, storage options of either 1TB of SSD or 2TB of HDD and Wi-Fi 6 support.

On the other hand, the Aspire 7 comes with 32GB RAM, up to 1TB of SSD and will house an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics that’s enough for light to medium gaming. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and weighs 2.15kg.

The Aspire 7’s screen has also been improved as per Acer, through Acer Color Intelligence and Acer ExaColor software giving you more highly accurate visuals.

Gaming Laptop And Chromebook Reveals

In addition to their Aspire series, Acer also announced their new Nitro 5 gaming laptop with powerhouse specs.

If you want a more gaming heavy machine, the Nitro 5 may pave your way into quality gaming especially as this will pack an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 which is more than enough to play AAA game titles.

As per ZDNet, the Aspire 5 and 7 and Nitro 5 laptops will be available in Australia during the second quarter of 2021 with prices yet to be announced.

Earlier this month, Acer has also announced their Chromebook Spin 514, their first Chromebook

housing AMD Ryzen 3000 C-Series mobile processors along with AMD Radeon Graphics for responsive performance and longer battery life.

The Acer Chromebooks will become available in North America in February 2021 starting at $479.99.
