Capcom Arcade Stadium Released For Nintendo Switch With 32 Games

Retro arcade fans are rejoicing over Capcom dropping a huge announcement this week bringing 32 classic arcade games to your Nintendo Switch. Additionally, they are also planning to release these classics for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam but no specific date has been announced yet.

Capcom also decided to also give players a free copy of the classic top-down plane shooter 1943 – The Battle of Midway and Ghosts ‘n Goblins as a bonus platformer before its February 25 scheduled release date.

Here are the 10-game arcade packs that Capcom will also be including together with the free games and a quick summary on what to expect for each pack. Though it’s better to get all of the packs for the full arcade experience, some might be on a tight budget so we’ll also help you pick in the process.

Dawn of the Arcade (1984 – 1988)

This pack is a good starter for those who want first-hand experience on how arcades were back in the day, you could go for this pack. The games included have a rich variety of shooters and platformers.

Arcade Revolution (1989 – 1992)

While the first pack focuses on platformers and shooter games, you might want to go with this second pack especially if you’re a big fan of fighting games. This pack introduces you to the birth of fighting games plus If you’re following the Commando series from the first pack, you might want to get this pack too.

If you’re that type of gamer that doesn’t want to go further back from the time machine, then these great selection of games that are included in this bundle is for you. 

So far this pack has the most value, since you’ll be getting 2 versions of Street Fighter II if you’ve been an avid fan of the franchise and mech-themed games such as Cyberbots and Progear. 

Graphics here are more updated and there are more games here that let you play up to four players compared to the previous packs that offer up to three players.
