The gaming community is buzzing this week as the 2020 Game Awards comes to a close. With The Last of Us Part 2 grabbing almost every award they can get, let’s not forget the surprise reveal of Evil Dead plus some other other games that we can look forward to in the coming months.

Upcoming Games for 2021

During the Game Awards, we’ve been treated to a spectacular showcase of what’s to come for next year. One of the games that we’re looking at is a Metroidvania action-packed game called F.I.S.T.

Ruined King: League of Legends was also announced as a turn-based strategy game and viewers were teased with some gameplay.

Just when people thought Kratos and The Mandalorian were not enough for this new season, Halo’s Master Chief has also joined the Fortnite universe.

With the recent departure of the executives over at BioWare, the Dragon Age franchise tries to redeem itself by giving the fans another teaser of their upcoming title

Fans are excited for Evil Dead

Despite the multitude of game announcements, one game stood out from the rest which is the upcoming Evil Dead that fans didn’t expect.

Comicbook reported that there were a lot of people off Twitter that became ecstatic about it. Some people even speculated that the reason Ash Williams, the protagonist in the Evil Dead franchise, wasn’t included in the Mortal Kombat roster is that he’ll be getting his own game.

In fact, last year GameRant even talked about the possibility of having Ash as a playable character in NetherRealm Studios’ acclaimed title.

However, if this game becomes a success in the future, they may consider adding the Evil Dead protagonist as a marketing strategy to entice more people to play their game.
