Evo Gym Overview
Founded by innovator Mitchell McBrayer, the EVO Gym is a portable one-stop-shop for workouts, offering more than 20 different exercises that you’d normally need several different machines and weights to perform.
It achieves this by providing a sturdy base to which you attach elastic resistance bands that are connected to either a steel bar or a couple of handles. This setup allows you to do all kinds of workouts, including chest presses, bicep curls, deadlifts, squats, and so much more. And the best part? It folds up and becomes compact enough to carry around wherever.
If you’re worried about how solid the base of the EVO Gym is then have no fear. It’s made out of a rock-solid polycarbonate body with a rubber plate on top to prevent slippage, and a pair of aluminium supports on either side where you’ll attach your resistance bands. The base locks in the middle, keeping it at 180 degrees.
Both the handles and the steel bar offer rubberized grips that make them easy to hold and comfortable to workout with.
Need to tack on some extra weights? The EVO Gym comes with 10, 20, 30, and 50-pound resistance bands, allowing you to increase resistance to up to 300 pounds.
Given the flexibility of resistance bands and your choice of either handles or a steel bar, you’ll be able to perform a wide range of exercise for virtually any part of your body. All you have to do is get creative.
The EVO Gym is exceptionally portable on account of its foldable base and a steel bar that splits into three conveniently sized pieces. It even comes with a pouch to store your handles and resistance bands.
|Dimensions (Unfolded)||29 x 12 inches|
|Dimensions (Folded)||15 x 12 inches|
|Dimensions||36 x 1.7 inches|
Tension Weight: Both the base and steel bar can handle over 300 lbs of tension.
Design & Build
The EVO Gym’s base looks like a panel ripped straight from a gym with its mostly black colour scheme and rubberized, textured top mat. The handles and steel bar are also black save for the bar’s grips which are grey in colour.
The developers of the EVO Gym recognize that safety is of the utmost importance when it comes to working out, which is why they made the base out of tough polycarbonate material while choosing aluminium for the resistance band supports. The base and steel bar can handle up to 300 pounds of resistance without breaking a sweat.
If you’re on the lookout for a portable exercise solution or the next big thing in home workouts, then you should definitely give the EVO Gym a closer look. Its sturdy base should be able to withstand even the toughest of workouts and its two grip types, along with its varying adjustable resistance bands, open the doors to all sorts of exercises.
To top it all off, it’s portable enough to carry around or throw into the back of your car. Switching from metal weights to resistance bands can be a bit jarring at first, but after you get used to it, the EVO Gym will be the only gym you’ll ever need.
