Square Enix pulled off a surprise for their gaming fans closing off the Sony State of Play event. Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade comes to the PlayStation 5 with additional content.

And that’s not all— they also announced two upcoming mobile games for the Final Fantasy franchise so let’s see in the next couple of months if the games live to its hype.

What We Know About The Yuffie Episode

Players now have the opportunity to embark in another adventure playing as ninja Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates the notorious Shinra Corporation to steal a powerful material that can save her homeland.

You can also play alongside other characters and enjoy expanded gameplay including combat and more improvements bringing in a fresh perspective to the main story.

For those who have owned the Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PS4, they can upgrade to a digital copy for PS5. They need to have the disc drive version to get the freebie.

The bonus Yuffie episode will come as a standalone download from the PlayStation Store.

Final Fantasy Mobile Games Revealed

Aside from the remastered remake, Square Enix also dropped two new mobile games for fans to look forward to starting with this battle royale game set in Midgar called Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier.

Judging from the first seconds of the preview, we might get to play as Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII if you ever played it in the PlayStation Portable (PSP) back in the day.

As for the second game that they’ve presented is more of a visual novel to the series called Ever Crisis and it lets you experience the entire FFVII timeline straight from your mobile phone.

According to their press release, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a chapter-structured single player experience that will cover the entire FFVII timeline.

So if you haven’t played the remake on consoles, you’ll also get to experience the events from the original game plus new story elements. Nibel on Twitter clearly gave us the difference of the classic PS1 graphics of Final Fantasy VII to Ever Crisis.

More information about these two mobile games will be released on a later date. But expect Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on June 10 for the PS5 and here’s a side by side comparison with the PS4.
