The Kube4 is a product of Kube Sound – a small company located in Austin, Texas made up of avid audio enthusiasts brought together by the vision of designing a sound system that effectively fills the space wherever it’s being used.
Their latest speaker connects to devices not only via Bluetooth but through your wifi connection as well for more diverse connectivity options. Its lengthy battery life also blows most of the competition out of the water while its design is pleasing on the eyes. It’s also tough to boot.
As for its sound quality, you can expect an exceptional music experience at ear-shattering levels whether you’re blasting your tunes indoors or outside, not to mention all the cool things you can do with the KubeSync companion app that you can download on your iOS or Android smartphone.
Robust connectivity options
Unlike most portable sound systems that only offer Bluetooth and line-in connectivity, the Kube4 allows users to connect to it via Bluetooth, line-in, or a wifi connection.
Superior battery life
Many of its rivals sport a mediocre battery life of under 20 hours, while the Kube4 enjoys up to an impressive 40 hours of continuous use.
The Kube4 is made out of quality weather-resistant materials with tightly sealed enclosures, making it an extremely durable speaker with an IPX5 rating. This means that whether it’s dust, snow, rain, or even just intense cold or heat, this speaker can take it.
Kube Sound engineered its speaker’s audio profile to give listeners top-notch sound quality both indoors and outdoors.
Compared to many of the party box speakers out there, the Kube4 is remarkably lightweight and easy to carry around despite its excellent durability. So whether you’re planning a beach trip or a weekend in the alps, bringing your speaker along will never feel like a hassle.
Need to make yourself heard during a large gathering? No problem. The Kube4 wireless speaker comes with a nifty PA mode that allows you to connect a wireless microphone, effectively turning your speaker into an instant PA system.
The speaker comes with a useful companion app called KubeSync that can be installed on your iOS or Android device. You can use it to play music, select speakers, adjust volume levels, configure audio channels, and much more.
A lot of brands let you connect to just a few speakers at a time, whereas the Kube4 lets you connect to up to 32 speakers simultaneously which you can set to play music in sync or have them stream music individually in different locations.

The Kube4 does its best to provide its listeners with a music experience that’s accurate and enjoyable and it succeeds at doing both with flying colours. The bass profile feels full yet punchy and comes through with a satisfying boom while playing bass-heavy tracks.
The mids sound precise and are never overshadowed by the powerful bass. As for the highs, they’re equally impressive, allowing you to crank up the volume without fear of distortion or sharp sibilants.
Perhaps one of the Kube4’s greatest features is its superb volume and frequency range, which gets as loud as 101 dB at a frequency that ranges from below 50 Hz to 20 kHz. To put things into perspective, the well-received JBL PartyBox 310 can only hit a maximum of 80 dB, while the stellar Sonos Move is capped at 85 dB. No matter the space, the Kube4 wireless speaker demands to be heard.
Looks are one of the Kube4’s strongest points. It’s a conventional rectangular-shaped speaker that’s rounded at the edges and built out of painted marine-grade plywood along the sides and back, while the finely perforated grill is coated entirely in silver. There’s also a silver handle along the top edge of the device that makes carrying it a whole lot easier.
Its beauty lies in its simplicity. Where speakers like the JBL PartyBox 310 and Bose S1 opted for edgier and louder designs, the Kube4 keeps it simple and elegant. Fans of a more minimalistic look are sure to fall in love with this speaker’s aesthetic which should blend in wonderfully in any home. Rather than storing it away when not in use, you’re more likely to put it on display given how smart it looks.
What’s it like to use?
Getting the Kube4 up and running couldn’t be simpler. All of the speaker’s buttons are lined up next to one another along the top of the device and turning it on is as easy as hitting the power button. There’s a play/pause button to control playback as well as volume up and down buttons to adjust loudness.
Wireless connections are controlled using a single button whether it’s Bluetooth or wifi. If you’re a fan of the old-school or just don’t feel like pairing your smartphone, you can still connect to the speaker through a line-in cable.
You’ll definitely want to download the KubeSync app on your mobile device especially if you’re rocking more than one speaker since it allows you to control the playback, volume, and other features of all of the speakers simultaneously or individually.
In a market filled to the brim with excellent products and fierce competition, the Kube4 stands out thanks to its chic design, tough build, top-shelf sound quality, and deafening output level.
Its spectacular 40-hour battery life is also a huge plus and the sheer number of speakers you can connect to simultaneously is unrivalled. Despite its stiff steep price tag, the Kube4 is a must-have for people in search of a first-rate party box speaker that’s easy to carry around and sounds great in almost any space.
