The Muscle Rail Board is the newest in the ever-growing home fitness equipment industry. It’s designed by Design501, which is a fairly new company that specializes in sports equipment. Currently, it is offered on Kickstarter where it has already received more than US$23,000 of funding from backers, surpassing its target goal of US$7,000. So safe to say, it’s a hit. But before you head over and spend money on this latest home gym equipment, here’s everything you need to know about the Muscle Rail Board.

Overview

When choosing which home gym equipment to invest in, you have to consider your budget, the space it will occupy in your home, and whether or not it can help you reach your fitness goal. Your choice of equipment should also match your level, whether you’re a beginner or a veteran. Now, what makes the Muscle Rail Board great is that it ticks all these boxes.

Unlike other full-body workout equipment, which is big and heavy, the Muscle Rail Board is compact, light, and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s also very portable, making it perfect for those who love working out everywhere. More importantly, it is versatile and allows you to choose the type of exercise you want. You can use it for your upper body, lower body, and core. This makes it ideal for both pros and newbies. Plus, it can help you save money since it already covers a wide variety of exercises.

In terms of price, the Muscle Rail Board isn’t exactly cheap. It is priced at US$259, which is more expensive than many home workout equipment around, i.e AB rollers and sliders. It’s also pricier than the Push Up Board, which is another type of exercise board but with fewer uses. However, compared to the Stamina AeroPilates Reformer, which is a very similar product, the Muscle Rail Board is definitely more affordable.

Want to experience the Muscle Rail Board at a much cheaper price? Make sure to catch its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Instead of the original retail price of US$259, Super Early Bird backers will only have to pay US$149 and US$159 for Early Birds.

Features

Versatile

The biggest advantage of the Muscle Rail Board over other home gym equipment is its versatility. Not only can you use it for a full-body muscular workout, but you can also use it for cardio and pilates. So if you’re planning to work on your chest, abs, back, arms, legs, or core, here’s workout equipment that can help you do just that.

With the Muscle Rail Board, you can perform squats and deadlifts using only resistance bands. You can also use it with your own latex loop bands. This will provide you with a similar exercise to that of expensive pilates reformers. You’ll be able to do slide knee tucks, side lunges, side knee tucks, slide pikes, and hamstring curls without worry. Aside from that, the Muscle Rail Board is great for stretching, too. So it can even help you in warming up and cooling down.

Portable and Compact

The Muscle Rail Board is compact and light, which makes it easy to move, set up, and store. It also has a detachable design, allowing you to use other pieces separately. The slide board, for instance, can also be used as an AB roller. Just slip in the company’s removable noiseless wheels, and you are all set.

Unfortunately, such wheels are not included in the basic package. So if you want a portable sliding board that you can use practically anywhere, you’d need to pay an extra US$19. It’ll be worth it, though, especially if you need an AB roller that won’t make any noise while you’re working out.

What’s great about the Muscle Rail Board is that you can use it on any type of floor unlike most AB rollers and slider, which requires flat floor only. You can use it on a wooden floor, tiles, rug, or yoga mat. Also, compared to other similar products like push-up boards, it offers more variety of movements. Sure, the home pilates reformers offer many possible movements, too. However, the Muscle Rail Board still provides the most uses since it not only focuses on pilates but cardio, slide exercises, and full-body muscular workouts as well.

Design

When it comes to design and structure, the Muscle Rail Board is pretty simple. There’s the main frame, which features two metal guide rails and non-slip sticker bottoms. You will then need to choose which type of board to use, depending on your desired activity. If you’re doing slide exercises, just put the ABS plastic board with two rollers on top of the two metal rails. For resistance exercises, you’ll need to set up the two plastic boards on top of the rails.

Aside from that, we’d also like to mention the Muscle Rail Board’s easy and quick setup. You can assemble and disassemble it in minutes without using any tools. Most of all, because it’s compact, you can store it anywhere in your home with ease after use. You can slide it under your bed or put it in a corner. This is great if you don’t have enough space at home for big and bulky exercise equipment such as at-home pilates reformers.

Final Thoughts

With its many varieties of movements, lots of possible exercises, and ability to help you build up any part of your body, the Muscle Rail Board is indeed an all-in-one workout equipment that’s perfect for both experts and beginners. It can even help in warm-ups and cooling down, making it the only exercise tool you need from the beginning to the end of your workout sessions.

That said, if you’re looking for home gym equipment that can save you the most money, then the Muscle Rail Board is a good choice. With it, you don’t have to buy any other expensive exercise tools. You also no longer need to go out to the gym or join classes – which means, you don’t have to pay monthly membership fees. Not only that, but it’s affordable on its own too.
