The player base has skyrocketed ever since and according to Steam charts the active players peaked at an all-time high of over 140,000 last September of this year. Here’s what’s in store for the next couple of days for this popular car soccer sports title.
More Challenges and Gifts Await
The season of giving is alive as once the Frosty Fest begins, players can complete challenges that could give them seasonal items like the Holiday Bow Topper, Holiday Hearth Wheels, and the new Xmas Lights Animated Decal.
Additionally, players can also get a free item in the Item Shop. The festive snowman Antenna will be available for free throughout the event.
Winter Breakaway Features A Hockey Arena and More
One of the limited game modes that Rocket League has released is a redesigned map of Throwback Stadium and instead of the usual soccer field, the arena is now surrounded by snow and the ball is replaced by a hockey puck.
Players will get to play this arena from December 14 to December 21. After this event, it will be followed by Spike Rush which is a variation where all players have spikes that automatically engage after kickoff allowing them to stick the ball to their car by driving into it. The ball carrier can’t use or collect boosts and is prone to get easily demolished by opposing players.
The last event that follows after Spike Rush will be the 2v2 Heatseeker on December 28 wherein the ball tries to automatically hit your goal once the opposing team hits it and vice-versa.
Get Rocket League for free and play the limited time game modes as well as grind out the holiday rewards until January 4.
