Stuck up grime, grease, burnt food, and dirt on kitchen counters, grill plates, sinks, pans, bottles, containers, and just about any surface are some of the hardest things to clean and get rid of. So it’s no surprise why a lot of people dread doing such tasks – us, included. But with the Skadu, scrubbing these messes wouldn’t be as difficult, tiring, and time-consuming.
Unlike dish brushes and regular sponges or scrubs, Skadu is battery-operated and equipped with a special motor. This gives it the power to remove even the nastiest grime quickly without needing to lean in and apply pressure. It also offers three head options, allowing you to safely clean everything from tiles to delicate appliances.
In terms of price, however, Skadu is more expensive than other power scrubbers around. Starting at US$75 for the basic package, Skadu is a lot costlier than similar top products, including the Greenco Electric Power Scrubber, PowerDoF Scrub Brush, Black + Decker Grimebuster Pro, and the MECO Electric Spin Scrubber.

Planetary Distribution Technology (PDT)
Skadu utilizes the company’s advanced PDT, which gives it the power of three scrubbers in a single device. This is also responsible for distributing the motor’s power evenly to the 3 scrubbers. More importantly, it is what makes the machine rotate in opposite directions – which is said to be the key to removing stubborn dirt and grime easier.
When you buy Skadu, three head attachments are automatically included. You can change them, depending on your needs. Here’s a quick look at all different Skadu attachments:
- Triple Head: Each unit comes with a set of scratch-free pads that uses the company’s PDT system. So with this attachment, you’ll have three scrubbers rotating in opposite directions. These pads are designed with industrial-grade velcro, so you can attach or detach them with ease.
- Bottle Brush: Here’s a feature we especially love about Skadu. Most power scrubbers today will only allow you to clean flat surfaces, which include plates, pans, tiles, counters, and sinks but never cups, bottles, and mugs. This is a problem since such items never get fully cleaned through the dishwasher. Luckily, the company behind Skadu added a brush, which can help clean those hard-to-reach areas in bottles, glasses, and containers.
- Copper Scrubber: For some messes, such as burnt food on oven grill plates and BBQ, regular scrubbing pads just won’t do. You’ll need something tougher like Skadu’s copper scrubber. This attachment is surprisingly tough yet gentle on surfaces. So you can clear hardcore grime without leaving any damages to the surface.
Take note, however, that these attachments need to change after a certain period. So you’d have to consider the additional cost of that as well. To give you an idea, Skadu’s triple head pads can be used for 2 weeks, the bottle brush for 4 months, and the copper scrubber for 4 months. Each unit costs US$0.50, US$2.20, and US$1.15 respectively. So every year, expect to pay around US$44.10 for attachments alone.
If you want to save money, make sure to check out Skadu on Indiegogo. A year’s worth of consumables and the machine itself will cost you only US$109., meaning you can enjoy about a 31% discount.

Skadu works with an on-load torque of 8 kg.cm and rotates at 200 – 250 RPM. Such specs put it at the same level as most power scrubbers in the market. But compared to the MECO Electric Spin Scrubber, which has an impressive 350 RPM, Skadu is less powerful.
Now, in terms of battery, Skadu is pretty decent. With its 2000mAh capacity, it can last up to 90 minutes to 2 hours of scrubbing on a full charge. This is longer than what the MECO Scrubber offers, which is only 60 minutes of use after around 4 to 5 hours of charging.
Light and small, Skadu has an ergonomic design and a fluid pattern at the grip that makes it easy and comfortable to hold. It also weighs only 300g, so you won’t feel tired using it. Whether you’re right or left-handed, this scrubber is a good fit for you.
Furthermore, Skadu comes with a simple elevated stand. Sure, it isn’t as good-looking or solid as Black+Decker’s Grimebuster Pro’s stand, but it does serve its purpose. Better than nothing, right?
While Skadu doesn’t have the best battery, stand, or motor speed, its interchangeable heads and convenience does make it a good option for a power scrubber. With its efficiency, you can use it to remove even the toughest kitchen messes. But what really makes Skadu stand out is its functions and attachments. With it, you can clean and cover different surfaces and levels of dirt or grime.
