Home theater speakers are becoming a trend nowadays especially with a lot of people resorting to staying at home enjoying their shows on Netflix. It looks like audiophiles are in for a treat this year. JBL has been busy in preparing a bunch of products for this year’s CES 2021, particularly this new and affordable soundbar that brings in a portable 3D cinematic experience.JBL
In a recent press release, HARMAN has teamed up with JBL to deliver its first-ever Virtual Dolby Atmos and MultiBeam which is JBL’s proprietary beamforming technology called the JBL Bar 5.0.
A Soundbar That Packs The Punch
For its $399.95 price point, the JBL Bar 5.0 surely packs the punch because it saves you a lot of space in your living room compared to its predecessor. The new soundbar claims to deliver the same high-quality listening experience despite its size.
The audio quality of the soundbar is so good that HARMAN claims that the JBL 3D Surround Sound won’t require an additional subwoofer. It packs three high-output and two side-firing MultiBeam drivers as well as four passive radiators.
The Virtual Dolby Atmos along with HARMAN’s MultiBeam technology lets the JBL Bar 5.0 reproduce the audio height dimensions from a movie or TV show, turning your space into a 3D theatre creating a great viewing and listening experience.
Upgraded And More Affordable Compared To Its Predecessor
The JBL Bar 5.0 is almost 60% lower than last year’s release price of the JBL Bar 9.1 which costs $999.95.
You also get almost the similar features with the Bar 9.1 such as streaming via Bluetooth, Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2.
An additional feature for the JBL Bar 5.0 is that it can support Amazon’s Alexa via Multi-Room Music groups on other Alexa devices so users can wirelessly stream music. The soundbar is also compatible with all iOS and Android devices.
The JBL Bar 5.0 MultiBeam looks promising especially for home theatre enthusiasts who are planning to get it this Spring 2021.
