ErgoTune proudly presents you with an ergonomic chair that you can count on in all scenarios. The ErgoTune Supreme V3 boasts auto-tuning lumbar support that will keep your back in perfect alignment. This way, the spine will maintain its natural curvature, alleviating common back problems.

Overview

Sitting in a poorly designed chair for long hours will not only lower your productivity but also predisposes you to serious musculoskeletal conditions. According to a web report on the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare site, up to 16% of the Australian population experience back pains.

Most back problems are work-related and often result from poor sitting postures. That said, you should consider using an ergonomic chair like the ErgoTune Supreme V3. It has multiple adjustable points that are tailored to give your lumbar, cervical, and thoracic spine natural comfort.

Furthermore, the ErgoTune Supreme V3 is built with your comfort in mind and also has amazing features that you will find helpful. The lift hydraulic system on this chair allows for smooth adjustment of the seat depth. As such, you can raise or lower the chair based on your needs.

On top of that, the backrest will always align with your lumbar, while the 3D headrest provides your neck with the comfort that you need. This chair can greatly assist those who spend long hours in the office, gamers, writers, etc. However, it is rather expensive compared to most chairs with a similar design.

Features

Auto Tuning Lumbar Area Support (ATLAS)

The ErgoTune Supreme V3 is ergonomically designed in such a way that the backrest can shift according to the placement of your spine. This allows the chair to align with your lumbar vertebrae’s natural curvature, thus providing optimum support to your spine and postural muscles.

As a result, you’ll be able to sit for long hours without hurting your shoulders, spine, and pelvis. But most importantly, the chair can greatly reduce your chances of experiencing back complications associated with poor sitting postures. This makes it an ideal choice for gamers, writers, and those in the corporate world.

TriTune Headrest

You will be happy to know that ErgoTune Supreme V3 not only provides support for the lumbar region but also ensures your cervical vertebrae are properly aligned, thanks to its well-designed headrest. The headrest is fully adjustable, so you can customise it according to your needs. And as the name implies, the headrest is adjustable at three points.

With this feature in place, you can easily adjust the headrest to the preferred angle, depth, and height. Through this, the bones making up the cervical spine will be able to support the weight of your head without being subjected to too much pressure. This can help you alleviate neck pains.

Precision Recline

This chair utilises ErgoTune’s TrueTilt technology, which allows you to adjust the angle of recline with exact precision. Besides, the ErgoTune Supreme V3 is reclinable up to 136 degrees. This feature can prove helpful when you are taking a break from work.

Simply disengage the recline lever and lean back for instant relaxation. But that is not all; you can adjust the tension knob to get the desired level of firmness when the chair is in a recline position.

With the help of the synchronisation tilt mechanism, the seat and the backrest will always stay aligned regardless of the angle of recline. This will ensure the spine retains its natural S-shaped curve, allowing for equal distribution of weight.

GyroBrace Armrest

The other thing that we like about the ErgoTune Supreme V3 is that it has a customisable armrest. It’s not only height adjustable, but can also rotate to match your needs. You can pivot the armrest up to 270 degrees when tackling different tasks. This means your arm will get full support at all times. With the right configuration, this chair can take pressure off your shoulders, thereby providing you with maximum comfort.

Breathable Upholstery

The ErgoTune Supreme V3 is crafted from premium quality polyester and fabric to ensure you get a chair that is both comfortable and durable. Also, the upholstery is breathable, meaning you can sit on the chair for several hours without your back getting sweaty.

It has better features than the ErgoTune Classic, which only has 8 adjustment points and no headrest. Additionally, the wheelbase of the ErgoTune Supreme V3 is made of high-quality aluminium for durability purposes.

Design

When it comes to design, the ErgoTune Supreme V3 has all the features that you may look for in an ergonomic chair. It offers limitless adjustments and is specially designed to keep your back in a healthy posture. You can adjust the seat height, backrest, seat depth, armrest, and headrest according to your preference.

With up to eleven adjustment points, the ErgoTune Supreme V3 is one of the best ergonomic chairs that you can invest in. The materials from which it is made are equally durable, so rest assured it will provide you with long-lasting service.

Our Experience with The ErgoTune Supreme V3

The overall look and feel of the chair are great, the fabric on the seat and backrest is a slightly sheer net fabric that is stretched over the frame which a slight give. It’s firm, but not too hard. When seated, there’s a lot of room between the fabric and the componentry underneath, so there’s no chance you’ll end up feeling the frame through the seat.

Additionally, it is accompanied by a desk booklet guiding the user to make the most of the chair’s adjustment points, recline angle and resistance, armrest angle, and length. There are even activity-based adjustment guides that detail optimum seated position for focused work, drawing and creative work, and relaxation. Came across as a bit naff when I first read the booklet, but I’ve grown to use the relaxed mode when I’m reading long documents, watching videos, or anytime I’m not typing really.

The chair has some limitations for me, I’m a petite person (5’ 2) and there are some downfalls for me and for people my height. The armrests don’t adjust low enough for me to use when I’m in focus mode, and without using them, I hit my elbows on the plastic edges of the lumbar support.

There is also a ridge on the front of the seat pan that digs into my thighs, right behind my knees, I haven’t found the seat height and depth to adjust to exactly what I need. But, this is a limitation that would not affect people even slightly taller than me (I tested it on a 5’ 5 and a 6’ 2).

Also, the chair arrived packaged in such a large box I thought it must have been fully, or almost fully assembled, not the case. Quite a bit of assembly was required, but there was a poster of assembly instructions laid out comic style with pictures and large font, with QR codes that direct you to assembly videos (hands up if you usually ignore any accompanying guide).

On the plus side, the assembly was straightforward and took about 20 minutes, all parts and tools are provided. Overall, the packaging was good, but I’d like to see this company move away from bulky plastic packaging that inevitably ends up in the landfill.

Final Thoughts

The ErgoTune Supreme V3 is, without a doubt, one of the best ergonomic chairs currently available on the market. Users can personalise it according to their needs and preference. The breathable upholstery will keep you cool throughout the period that you will be seated. In addition to this, the chair has castors that will allow you to roll it from one spot to another without straining yourself.
