Privacy Policy

Updated 18 October 2026

Mr Gadget (mrgadget.com.au) is run by Agents Digital Agency Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

What we collect

• Your email address and interests, if you join Mr Gadget Deals. When you sign up to our deals email we collect your email address, the categories you tick (for example Kitchen or Personal care), the page you signed up on, and the date and time.
• Emails you send us. If you write to [email protected] we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
• How the site is used. We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and see which guides people read. It uses cookies and collects things like pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. It does not tell us who you are.

You can read every guide without giving us any personal information.

Mr Gadget Deals (our email)

• We confirm first. After you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm. You are only added once you click the link, so nobody can sign you up without you knowing. If you don’t confirm, you won’t hear from us again.
• What we send. One email a week, usually Thursday evenings, with deals on products from our guides, retailer sales, new arrivals, other deals we’ve checked and a product highlight. Occasionally a seasonal email (for example Black Friday).
• Unsubscribe any time. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We act on it straight away, and always within 5 business days.
• Who sends it. Our emails are sent by Kit (ConvertKit LLC), an email service based in the United States. Your email address, interests and email activity (such as opens and clicks) are stored by Kit on our behalf so it can send our emails, under Kit’s own privacy policy and data processing terms.

We never sell, rent or swap your email address.

Affiliate links and cookies

Mr Gadget is reader-supported. When you click a link to a retailer such as Amazon Australia and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. The retailer may set its own cookies to record that the sale came from us. We are not told who you are or what else you buy. The retailer’s own privacy policy covers what happens on its site.

Sharing your information

We share personal information only with the services that run the site for us:

• Kit (United States): the deals email list.
• Google (Google Analytics and Google Workspace, which may store data in Australia or overseas): site statistics and our email inbox.
• GoDaddy: website hosting. Like any web host, its servers keep standard access logs.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Because Kit and Google may store information outside Australia, your information may be held in the United States or other countries.

Keeping your information

We keep your email address while you are subscribed to Mr Gadget Deals. If you unsubscribe, Kit keeps a record of the address only so it is never emailed again. We keep emails you send us for as long as we need them to deal with your message.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also update your interests or unsubscribe from the links at the bottom of any Mr Gadget Deals email.

Cookies and analytics choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. The site works without cookies.

Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, email [email protected] and we’ll look into it and reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We’ll update this page if anything changes, and show the date at the top.
