Dehumidifiers extract moisture from the air making them a useful appliance in a variety of situations. Too much moisture can cause issues with your personal health and also compromise building structure in extreme cases.

You should use a dehumidifier if you notice any of the following:

  • Condensation on windows, walls, or ceilings
  • Noticeably “sticky” air
  • Damp wood or plaster
  • Household mold, especially in the bathroom or kitchen
  • An increase in allergy symptoms including skin rashes
  • That “damp “smell
  • Or if you just want a more comfortable living environment
